Peach Schnapps Recipe

Ingredients

250 ml (1 cup) of water
250 ml (1 cup) of sugar
60 ml (1/4 cup) of lemon juice
2 white peaches, pitted and cut into wedges
2 yellow peaches, pitted and cut into wedges
750 ml (3 cups) vodka

Preparation

In a saucepan, bring to a boil the water, sugar and lemon juice. Add the peaches. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. Let cool.
Transfer into a large glass jar of about 2 litres (8 cups) and add the vodka. Close and refrigerate for about a week. Pass through a fine sieve and discard the peaches.
Serve frozen in glasses, schnapps or in cocktails.
